Dear friends, The first month of the new academic year has passed. It has been a time of adjustment for our 28 new children. Many have come to love the regular, wholesome meals, the cleanliness, and the individual love and care they receive from our staff. Sadly, a few could not adjust to living in our big family and have returned to their homes. Almost all our children have returned to their homes for the hot season break, including our two recent university graduates. They are the first members of their families to receive a college education. We are very proud of them. Our five high school graduates are very much looking forward to starting college later this month. Heartfelt thanks to their wonderful sponsors for doing so much to make this possible. This month our students had to work online for two weeks while their schools were temporarily closed. Online learning was a challenging, yet very valuable, time. They managed unfinished homework and prepared for next month’s exams. Our staff capably handled having our kids on site 24 hours per day for the two-week period!
